Weymouth’s history and popularity as a seaside resort can be traced back to King George III who often came to bathe in the water here. Today visitors come to Weymouth for its fantastic beach and its promenade as well as its numerous exciting family attractions.
Dorchester is a beautiful market town which has close links to Thomas Hardy. The town offers many attractions for visitors historical walks, a castle keep in the town centre and the Dorset County Museum, which houses many of the Roman artefacts unearthed in the area.

Wareham is an ancient market town dating back to Roman times. Visitors can enjoy walking through the picturesque streets and along the riverbanks of the town’s two rivers- the River Frome and the River Piddle. Visit the farmers markets or enjoy a drink in one of the abundance of pubs or traditional english tearooms. The Rex Cinema in Wareham is the only remaining gas-lit cinema in the country!

The kids will love the indoor swimming pool, there’s a slide they can shoot down as well as a wave machine and water fountain. For the adults there are loungers for you to relax at the sides of the pool as well as sauna to relax in and a solarium to top up your tan.
Try your hand at skiing or snowboarding on the 110 metre Snowflex Ski Slope at Dorset Snowsport Centre. There’s tuition and equipment hire available as well as ringos and sledges for younger kids.
At Warmwell there’s three fishing lakes to choose from. The Heron Lake is 2 acres in size and holds carp, bream and tench. The horseshoe lake has over 1000 carp as well as bream, tench, roach, rudd and perch.
The Kingfisher lake stocks carp, bream, roach and rudd. There’s also a fishing tackle shop and hire centre for all your equipment needs.
